Purpose in Life

I feel miserable after chewing you out. But its a necessary evil and not an attempt to bum your trip. Why does it happen when you seem to be enjoying yourself. 'Coz those are the times when the lack of achievements on other fronts comes up in focus. Without tangible success, your life seems to be taking the path of least resistance. Enjoy and feel good. Nothing wrong with that provided I also see you work to achieve in fields you know you are good at and not sacrificing them for enjoyment dictated by the company you keep.
'Tis a shame to waste talent nurtured for so long which was once, by your own reckoning, world beating. And why?. 'coz its more fun to hang out and explore new avenues, just for kicks.
You are at an age when the priorities all start with F... Fun, Friends,. Freedom, Faith. What you forget are Focus and Future. Don't end up cursing Fate. That refuge of every self confessed failure. Statements of intent postpone realities.
Parents only seem hell bent on spoiling the good times. Why? Don't I have anything better to do. Barring securing your future, No!. I've nothing better to do.
No evidence yet to show that you'll be on the stage you said you always wanted to be on. Rather it appears you're giving it all up for the sake of the company you've chosen to keep. Friends are important. They are the world during adolescence.... This the high point of life. Sadly, prone to blinkered vision as only hindsight will show you, down the line. I get cheesed off when I see you refusing to see that. The thrills in life need not end up compromising your purpose in life.
Dont live adolescence as if its the last fling at life, and not a preparation for it. Don't think and let emotions colour everything. The worst calamity is to have eyes and yet fail to see.
My threat is a guiding light to ensure that you don't get to the "if all else fails stage". If it does, I will carry it out. No matter if you cut me out of your life.
