Me - They say its all in the mind. So its up to the mind to define what is. If life was meant to be anything other than just this, the mind would've attempted to make that .......what is.
Arun - Mind is NEVER at what is, it is ALWAYS in what was or what ought to be. Its only in a NO MIND state that you see what IS.
Me - That sounds like the Theory of Relativity. Probable but not achievable because one can't create conditions to experience the inherent postulate.
Arun - If you put your mind to it, you will know it. Just think over it.
Me - How does one put ones mind to it? As per your postulates, thinking/thought is about what was or what could be, so baggage is inherent to thought. NO MIND would require a new sensory vocab!
Arun - Actually you don't put your mind to it, but just mind your mind and see where it is most of the time. Should be a very interesting exercise!
Arun - All our endeavors in life are either in pursuit or prolongation of some pleasure or, an attempt to escape from pain.
True/False
Me - Is apathy a sitting on the fence posture in that scenario? Those choices presume endeavor stems from a capacity for feeling. Thats generic but not universal. Some don't care.
I think syntax inhibits understanding of the process. Is one observing thought as representing the mind. Most times there's no thought, just vacant gazing with object recognition if willed, which is usually a reaction to stimulus. One ends up wondering about the origin of thought and the "blankness of mind". Its like observing idleness. What does one look for?
