Arun - Security = Happiness
Bindaas = Bliss?
Me - Yeah! I think that's an apt approximation
Arun - Okay lets go into the meaning of security....This is not only for intellectual discussion. I want to go into the depth of it.
Me - When thought and action are not triggered by threat perception. Threats tend to be perceived from deficits in aspects that at some stage of experience provided a sense of comfort, a feeling of equanimity.
Its a belief that having a certain set of ingredients in ones environment will counter any negatives and deficiencies, and are worth aspiring to.
Arun - Well I'm not happy with your definition of it. What you are describing looks more like being in a comfort zone. It ought to be something beyond that. One may be in a comfort zone and yet not be happy.
Me - Vocab is a problem when one tries to describe something that one does not actually have a sense of. Happiness is the icing on the security cake. That added extra can't come outside a comfort zone. A comfort zone is both about security in the known as well as the confidence it creates for risk taking ability to explore newer comfort scenarios.
Maybe activity to sustain the known comfort elements is contentment. Discovering the newer facets brings joy and happiness. When this cycle becomes a continuum, its bliss.
Me - Is happiness more an individualistic perception or a reflected glow. How much of being happy is in seeing or making others happy? Creating vs. contributing?
Arun - The moment you are Not, that moment, is a happy moment.......Howzzat?
Me - Being is a presence and not the absence of a presence. I think that the moment that you ARE is a happy moment. U ARE when you feel fulfilled. U ARE when you realise what is.
