I suppose many of us have this desire to coin a profundity that will go down for posterity as a quotable quote. You rack your brains hoping the right words will fall in place. But translating insight to adage is not easy.
Been at it for years without success. The heart is usually in the right place, but the mind is g(r)azing else where.
Here are some on the parenting experience:
1) Parenting is a selfless pursuit of helpless devotion that sooner or later becomes a helpless pursuit in selfless devotion.
2) Parenting is tough....like an uphill climb. And then you reach the top.....only to look at a downhill slide.
3) Parenting is an occupation where responsibility and accountability increase while authority decreases, with time.
